BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Kyrgyzstan's Ambassador in Ukraine Idris Kadyrkulov and President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadiy Chyzhykov discussed prospects for trade and economic cooperation, Trend reports via Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the Kyrgyz side made a proposal to intensify work aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.

Kadyrkulov listed a number of projects in priority sectors of Kyrgyzstan's economy, that would be of interest to Ukrainian investors, including:

- construction of small and medium HPPs;

- "green" energy;

- processing of agricultural products;

- tourism and IT technologies.

Chyzhykov informed that the Ukrainian businesses are interested in finding new favorable places and directions for its development.

"To achieve practical results, the Ukrainian side was invited to organize a joint business forum in Kyrgyzstan in order to familiarize with tourism and investment opportunities," the ministry said.

Following the meeting, the parties decided to schedule a follow-up meeting by the end of August to create strategy for further actions.
