BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 4. A total of 4,350 individual residential houses were commissioned in Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2023, which is 14.8 percent lower than in the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
The data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan indicates that their total area amounts to 512,000 square meters.
The majority of houses, accounting for 80.4 percent of the total number, are located in the Osh, Jalal-Abad, Chui, Batken, and Issyk-Kul regions. Additionally, 365,700 square meters of individual housing, or 71.4 percent, were commissioned in rural areas.
Capital and current repairs of facilities were carried out at a total cost of 2,917 billion soms ($33 million) in Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2023. Out of this, 46.3 percent was funded by the national budget, 29.1 percent by enterprise and organization funds, 17.9 percent by the local budget, 4.3 percent by foreign grants and humanitarian aid, and 2.4 percent by private individuals.
Meanwhile, a total of 9,612 residential buildings and apartments have been commissioned in Kyrgyzstan in 2022.
