BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. Afghan entrepreneurs purchased liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Turkmen production during trading on April 19 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the exchange.

Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased 6,000 tons of LNG on the exchange at a price of $357 and $353 per ton (at an increased discount). The total amount of the transactions was $2.1 million.

At the same time, according to the exchange, on April 15, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 5,000 tons of aviation fuel in the amount of $1.98 million.

Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
