BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. The Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of Turkmenistan is working on the creation of at least two gas processing plants for the production of polymer and chemical products in the eastern and western regions of the country, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was stated by Bayrammyrat Pirniyazov, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the Turkmengas State Concern, at the forum on attracting investments in the energy sector of Turkmenistan held from April 26 through 27 in Dubai (UAE).
During his speech at the forum, the head of the Institute informed the participants of the event about the achievements of Turkmenistan in the field of gas processing, namely, the creation of the necessary infrastructure with the use of high technological solutions.
He noted that the state concern is working to diversify production and increase the range and volume of production of hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, carbamide, dimethyl ether, synthetic gasoline, and synthetic diesel fuel.
Meanwhile, several similar enterprises are already operating in Turkmenistan at the moment. The construction of new plants is planned in two promising areas from the point of view of raw materials reserves, the Lebap and Balkan regions.
