BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Turkmenistan imported chemical industry products worth 8.69 million euros from France from January through April 2023, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures in the reporting period are 7.3 times more than in the first four months of last year (1.18 million euros).
According to the statistical office, in April 2023 Turkmenistan imported chemical industry products from France in the amount of 2.25 million euros, which is 34,7 percent more than in March 2023 (1.67 million euros).
Turkmenistan increased imports from France in the first four months of this year by more than 3.2 times compared to the same period in 2022 (7.93 million euros) - up to 25.62 million euros.
Additionally, during the first four months of 2023, total commerce between Turkmenistan and the EU countries reached over 345.67 million euros, up 10.4% from the same time in 2022 when it was 312.88 million euros.
