ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 2. Türkiye and Russia are the key importers of chemical products from Turkmenistan through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Trend reports.
According to official data, the main cargo sent through the port is chemical products, in particular polypropylene, which is transported at a special terminal along the coast of the Caspian Sea.
The port's infrastructure includes ferry, passenger and container terminals, as well as shipbuilding and repair facilities.
At the same time, much attention is paid to ecology – modern wastewater treatment equipment is installed at all facilities.
Recently, the port of Turkmenbashi received the international certificate of 'Ecoport' ecological safety. This will allow integrating logistics processes with neighboring countries within the digital platform, as well as connecting the sea route to the European transport system.
