The next, third round of inter-ministerial consultations was held in Bucharest on Thursday, Uzbekistan Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
During the consultations, the sides circumstantially discussed conditions and perspectives of the development of Uzbek-Romanian dialogue in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
It was noted that, during the last 18 years, since the establishment of diplomatic relations, considerable positive experience of interaction in various spheres was gained and the required legal and contractual base was formed.
Share of high level visits, which took place in 1996 and 2003, has established a reliable base for the further strengthening of all-round relations between Uzbekistan and Romania.
Special attention during the previous negotiations was given to the issues of enlargement of double-sided trade at the expense of diversification and enlargement of nomenclature of mutual provisions of goods and services, realization of joint investment projects on processing agriculture products, production of building, textile, sewing, pharmaceutical, chemical, furniture and footwear products.
The delegations also discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts between foreign affairs agencies, parliamentary delegations.
The suggestions on activation of business circles representatives' relations, as well as cultural and educational institutions of two countries were discussed as well.
The sides confirmed the existence of interest in holding the regular political consultations that allow a complex consideration of development issues of Uzbek-Romanian relations, opinions and value shares on the key aspects of international and regional concerns.
