Uzbekistan and the US will hold a round of political consultations on Dec.1 to discuss bilateral and regional issues, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The US delegation led by the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal arrived in Tashkent on Nov.30 to take part in the political consultations.
During the visit, Biswal will hold meetings in the government of Uzbekistan, Senate of Oliy Majlis (upper house of the Uzbek parliament) and at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Trade and Investments.
Nisha Desai Biswal was appointed to the post of the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs in November 2013 by replacing Robert Blake.
