It was planned to increase the volume of natural gas production up to 16.8 billion cubic meters, gas condensate - up to 302,900 tons by the end of 2021. Also, as a result of the geological and technical measures, 53 new wells was planned to be drilled, of which 25 was put into operation at the expense of the own funds of Uzbekneftegaz.

Uzbekneftegaz reported that 1,395 million cubic meters of natural gas and 28,200 tons of condensate were produced from the fields of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department in January 2021. There were 1,453 wells at 42 oil and gas fields of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department at the beginning of the year, of which 593 are producing hydrocarbons. The produced gas after running for its preparation through 36 units at 11 compressor stations and 14 units was transferred to the Mubarek Gas Processing Plant.

In particular, to improve the performance of natural gas production in the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department, a gas pipeline with a diameter of 720 millimeters and a length of L-25 kilometers was laid to transport low-pressure gases from the Zhanubiy Kemachi field (country’s Bukhara region).

Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department

The Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department has been engaged in the production of gas, gas, gas condensate, oil field processing, preparation and processing of natural gas and gas condensate for more than 40 years. The department includes 43 oil, gas and gas condensate fields.

The Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department of Uzbekneftegaz is located in the Guzar District of the Kashkadarya Region of Uzbekistan and was commissioned in 1980.

The department has a design capacity of receiving four billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, produced from gas fields owned by JV Gissarneftegaz LLC and Lukoil Uzbekistan operating company LLC.

In recent years, the department has been implementing projects for the modernization of many installations in the direction of increasing the production of natural gas, liquefied gas, and continuous improvement of the quality of processed natural gas.

In particular, in 2021 the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department implemented a project to modernize a gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite and amine.

Czech Global Industrial Solutions company supplied 96 pieces of high-temperature ball valves as part of the modernization of the I-V-blocks of the gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite at Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department in 2021.

According to Uzbekneftegaz, work was carried out at an accelerated pace to organize stable production and bring product quality indicators in line with international standards. Construction and installation work has been completed and 40 ball valves have been put into operation at the III-block of the installation. Also, 14 ball valves were installed on the V-block. The III-block of the shop for gas purification from sulfur using zeolite was put into operation in 1987 and is designed to purify natural gas from sulfur compounds. The design capacity of receiving the installation is four billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, produced from the gas fields of the Shurtan oil and gas production department.

Uzbekneftegaz JSC planned to increase the daily production of liquefied gas at the plants for the production of the propane-butane mixture at the Shurtan oil and gas production department in 2021.

According to the company, 1-5 stages of the propane-butane mixture production units in the Shurtan oil and gas production department were put into operation in 1997–2012. They are designed to process 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas and produce 257,000 tons of liquefied gas.

Gazli Oil and Gas Production Department

The Gazli oil and gas production enterprise, formed in 2006, deals with producing natural gas from wells drilled at the Dayakhatyn, Kulbeshkak, Khodjikazgan, Tashkuduk, Kaltakir, Garbi and Uchkir fields, and oil was produced from the Mullahol and Gazakhli GSN fields located in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.

Currently, the main activities of the department are gas, gas condensate and liquefied natural gas production. The oil and gas condensate fields of the department have a total of 244 gas production wells, 2 compressor stations, 6 primary and complex gas treatment units. There are more than 284 pressure apparatuses, 1 central chemical laboratory. It produces 12 million cubic meters of gas and 100 tons of gas condensate per day.

In 2021 a primary gas treatment unit at the Savatli field in the Bukhara region was constructed in order to improve the daily production of natural gas and increase the production of gas condensate of the Gazli Oil and Gas Production Department.

Thus, formation water, gas condensate, and mechanical impurities was extracted from the produced natural gas from wells at the Savatli, Mirkomilkuduk, Karomat, and Zhaikhun gas fields with the help of this device.

In 2021 work was carried out to increase the volumes of natural gas production at the Doyakhotin, Kulbeshkak, Khozhikazgan, Kumli, Tylok, and Savatli fields of the department and to ensure uninterrupted operation of the newly built Uchkir compressor station, as well as to increase the volume and quality of liquefied gas production.

In particular, additional pipelines were installed in order to eliminate the compressions arising in the pipelines when supplying natural gas produced from the wells of these fields. As a result, natural gas production was increased by reducing pressure drops.

As a result, the daily volume of natural gas extracted from the fields of the Gazli oil and gas production department was increased by 150,000 cubic meters, which made it possible to obtain 100 tons of condensate and 185 tons of liquefied gas.
