Uzbekistan plans to gradually reduce customs duties on the imports of cars to zero, Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
Recently, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the need to gradually reduce customs duties on the import of cars.
The head of Uzbekistan noted that it is planned to bring customs duties to zero. He said there had to be competition to keep the cars cheap and of good quality.
The President also touched upon the issue of queues for the purchase of cars. He said that buyers should not wait a year to receive a car, despite prepayment.
In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan will prepare a draft resolution on reducing the rates of customs duties on car imports from 30 to 15 percent.
