BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 20. Uzbekistan has imported 478,300 tons of potatoes from 16 countries in the amount of $73.4 million from January through November 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The volume of imports of potatoes increased by 22,500 tons compared to the corresponding period last year.
During this period, most of the potatoes were imported from Pakistan in the amount of 259,100 tons, followed by Kazakhstan (155,100 tons), Kyrgyzstan (30,000 tons), and Russia (15,000 tons).
Uzbekistan imported 560,000 tons of potatoes in 2021, which is an increase of 109,100 tons compared to 2020. In 2021, Uzbekistan imported potatoes in the amount of $72.8 million from 13 countries.
