BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. Uzbekistan and France increased the bilateral trade turnover by more than 4.8 times from January through February 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, from $31.4 million up to $151.7 million, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
The exports from Uzbekistan to France amounted to $60.3 million, which is almost 28.7 times more than in 2M2022 ($2.1 million).
At the same time, Uzbekistan’s imports from France increased by more than 3.1 times and amounted to $91.4 million over $29.3 million during the reporting period in 2022.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France made up $339.5 million from January through December 2022 - an increase of 20.9 percent, compared to 2021 ($280.8 million).
The value of exports from Uzbekistan to France reached $68.2 million, increasing by almost 3.2 times year-on-year ($21.3 million in 2021), while imports were – $271.3 million.
From January through February 2023 Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $8.9 billion, increasing by 2 percent or $176.4 million, compared to the same period last year ($8.7 billion).
