BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Chinese CC7 Industries company will assist Uzbekistan in the process of increasing the number of solar panels at the large enterprises in the capital city Tashkent, Trend reports via the khokimiyat of Tashkent (local government).
The matter was discussed between the deputy khokim (governor) of Tashkent Sharof Rakhmanov and the president of CC7 Industries Long Haiyang.
During the talks, the sides discussed organizational issues related to the implementation of the project, while the Uzbek side asked the Chinese representatives to speed up the installation process.
Following the recent meeting, the Chinese company has pledged to put into operation solar panels at 30 large enterprises in Tashkent city.
According to preliminary estimates, solar panels with a total capacity of 100 MW will be installed on the roofs of enterprises with an area of 747,000 m2.
It should be noted, Uzbekistan pays special attention to boosting renewables deployment countrywide. In this regard, the number of solar panels installed on buildings and structures of social facilities and economic entities will be expanded.
The abovementioned measures are taken within the framework of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s order to reduce the dependence of economic sectors on fuel and energy products by increasing energy efficiency.
