About 372,700 foreigners have entered Iran through the Bazargan customs checkpoint and border crossing (located in West Azerbaijan Province of Iran) from the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Jaber Akbarzadeh, head of the Bazargan customs checkpoint, told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Akbarzadeh, a total of 1,23 million people have crossed through the aforementioned border crossing.

Akbarzadeh added that, while the number of those crossing the border dropped by 17 percent, the number of foreigners entering the country increased by 29 percent.

"Some 7,710 buses have crossed the border checkpoint this year, with an average of 24 buses crossing the border per day," he said.

Bazargan customs checkpoint and border crossing, located on the border with Turkey (Gürbulak border crossing), is one of Iran’s most important borders in terms of imports and exports.
