Iran’s wheat exports through Mercantile Exchange doubled

The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) saw trading of 1.21 million tons of wheat over the current fiscal year (starting March 20).

The head of the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Hamed Soltaninezhad, has said that 1.145 million tons of this amount was traded for domestic consumption and 65,750 tons were exported.

He added that the figure of exports of wheat through the IME has been doubled compared to the same time last year.

Hamed Soltaninezhad said that that the total figure for trading wheat (exports and domestic consumption) through the IME over the last fiscal year was 422,000 tons of which 31,000 tons were exported.
