Iran discloses volume of meat produced in Qazvin province

About 25,000 tons of meat are produced in Iran’s north-western Qazvin province annually, Governor of Qazvin province Abdulhamid Zahidi said.

This province has a great role in supplying Iran with meat, Zahidi added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

Moreover, 60,000 tons of eggs are produced in this province a year, he added.

Zahidi added that the products produced in Qazvin province cover the domestic demand and are exported to foreign countries.

The province has great potential in animal husbandry and poultry farming, he said.

About 1.3 million inhabitants live in the province. Nuts, pistachios, cornels, grapes are grown in the province.
