Products worth over $50M exported from Iran’s Hamadan province

The products worth $53.6 million were exported from Iran’s western Hamadan province during six months of this year (from March 21 to September 22), Chairman of the Organization of Industry, Mine and Trade of the province Hamidreza Metin said, Trend reports on Oct. 15 referring to IRNA.

“Some 293,900 tons of the products were exported during the reporting period,” Metin said.

“The export of products decreased by seven percent in terms of price and increased in volume by 38 percent during six months of this year compared to the same period of last year,” the chairman added.

“The copper cable is the main export product,” Metin added. In his words, in the reporting period, the copper cable worth $10.8 million was exported.

“Among the main exported goods are also fittings, motors for air conditioners, tomato paste, and medical supplies,” the chairman said. “Some 72 types of products are exported from Hamadan province to various countries.”

He went on to say: “Mining materials worth $5.33 million and chemical products worth $2.83 million were exported during the reporting period. In terms of price, the export of the chemical products decreased by 32 percent.”

“The share of agriculture products of Hamadan province has reached 17 percent of Iran’s total agricultural export,” the chairman said. “Agricultural products worth $9.2 million were exported during six months of this year, while export in this sphere decreased by 57 percent.”

The chairman added that 4,590 tons of products worth $16.3 million were imported into Hamadan province.

"The import of products grew by 20 percent in price and by 75 percent in volume during six months of this year compared to the same period of last year," he added.
