Iran's exports to Iraq exceeds $700M at customs of Mehran

In the first seven months (from March 21 to Oct. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Iran's exports via Mehran customs of its Ilam province to Iraq amounted to $720.2 million, in monetary terms, Director General of Ilam Customs Administration Rouhollah Gholami said, Trend reports via IRNA.

According to Gholami, Iran's exports of goods to Iraq via Mehran has decreased by 10 percent compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year.

Main export goods during the reported period were construction materials, fruit and vegetable products, rubber, industrial products, household goods and metal products, Gholami said.

The director general noted that exports of a number of essential goods via the customs of Mehran are banned, including red meat, sugar and butter.
