30 projects in Iran’s mines & mining industries sector to be commissioned

Thirty projects in Iran’s mines and mining industries sector will be commissioned in the Kerman and Yazd provinces, said Khodadad Gharibpour, chairman of the Iran Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and deputy minister of industry, mine and trade, Trend reports referring to the IMIDRO website.

Gharibpour said that the projects will be launched during the visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The IMIDRO chairman added that 26 projects belong to Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and 4 projects to the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Baft Steel Company and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company.

“With the commissioning of all projects, 1,270 people will be employed in the Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, 200 people in the Baft Steel Company, 200 people in the National Iranian Copper Industries Company and 250 people in the Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company,” Gharibpour noted.

The IMIDRO chairman said that the total investment value in all projects is 125 trillion rials (about $2.9 billion) and 537 million euros.

“The value of projects in the Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company is 82 trillion rials (about $1.9 billion) and 463 million euros,” Gharibpour noted.

“Investments worth 15.8 trillion rials (about $377 million) were spent on two projects in the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, 11.6 trillion rials (about $276 million) on one project of the Baft Steel Company and 15 trillion rials (about $357 million) on one project of the Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company,” the IMIDRO chairman added.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited Yazd and Kerman provinces on Nov. 10 in connection with the commissioning of a number of projects.
