The Spokesman for Iran`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press conference that the MFA`s consultations with other organizations on FATF related rulings are continued due to its importance for Iran allies.

Referring to the FATF`s decision to keep Iran on the blacklist and the MFA`s consultation with other organizations to resolve the issue, Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that "MFA's stand on the FATF related rules is clear," Trend reports citing the official MFA Instagram account.

He went on to say that “We have expressed our views to other organizations, but they have to comment."

“According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have to solve this issue because of our allies,” he said.

He expressed hope that other organizations will help to solve this issue with the least damage.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an anti-money laundering watchdog placed Iran on its blacklist claiming the country has failed to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT) norms.
