Iran, France to improve economic ties

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.27

Iran and France are considering cooperation in cooperatives areas and the Social Security Investment Company (SHASTA) activities, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iran is ready to develop cooperative relations with France after the decline of Coronavirus, and implement the memorandum of understanding (signed in 2017) between the two countries, said the Director-General of Cooperative Development Department in the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare.

There is a capacity for investment in Iran's cooperatives especially in the greenhouse industry, specialized webinars, Moen Hashemi noted during a meeting with the representatives of the French Ministry of Agriculture.

SHASTA has officially invited the French ambassador and active cooperatives in France to visit Iranian cooperatives and SHASTA's holding companies.

The scale of investments in the projects stands at $2 billion, including $1.2 billion in oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, 200 million dollars in agriculture and animal farming, and 600 million dollars in medical, cement, and mine sectors.

The head of the French delegation has also indicated that France is intended to increase economic cooperation with Iran and is ready to cooperate in investment, transferring technology, livestock export, and agriculture.
