Iran's trade turnover with Türkiye declines

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11. Non-oil trade turnover of Iran with Türkiye in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024) decreased by 15.4 percent in value terms and 30 percent in weight terms compared to the same period of last year, the statistics of İran's Customs Administration says, Trend reports.

According to the statistics, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye amounted to about 11.6 million tons worth about $10.6 billion in the first 11 months.

The information indicates that in the same period last year, the non-oil trade turnover of the two countries amounted to 16.5 million tons worth $12.5 billion.

The statistics add that agricultural and food products, petrochemical products, industrial and mining products, various equipment, foodstuffs, raw materials, fabrics, and so on were exchanged between the two countries in the first 11 months.

Based on statistics, Iran's non-oil trade with Türkiye amounted to 1.26 million tons worth about $1.03 billion in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21-February 19, 2024).To note, statistics of Iran's Customs Administration show that Iran's trade turnover for the first 11 months of the year totaled about $139 billion. The turnover increased by 2.7 percent in value terms compared to the same period last year.
