OSCE Chairman and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has again postponed his visit to Armenia, an informed source at the Armenian Foreign Ministry told Armenian News - NEWS.am.
According to the information, the visit was postponed for a week to approximately July 15. But the exact date has not yet been specified.
Currently, Kozhara is on a visit to Baku. It was originally planned that Leonid Kozhara will arrive in Yerevan after Azerbaijan.
Kozhara's visit to Yerevan was postponed for the second time. Previously, he planned to visit three countries in the region, but in the end he visited only Tbilisi. This time, Leonid Kozhara planned to visit Baku and Yerevan, but the program of the visit was changed again at the last moment.
The conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh between Azerbaijan and Armenia began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 per cent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994.The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France and the U.S. are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented four U.N. Security Council resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
