Georgia will become a full member of the South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial.
As the Georgian Defence Ministry told Trend on Friday, an official statement was made by the Georgian Defence Minister Irakliy Alasaniya at a meeting with the defence ministers of the South-Eastern European countries.
According to him, from now on Georgia will participate in the initiative of the Defence Ministers of South-Eastern European countries not only as an observer, but as a full member of the Ministerial.
"I am confident that this is a big step forward for integration into NATO," Alasaniya added.
Georgia has participated in the South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial as an observer since 2006. This format serves to ensure security in the region and integration of member countries into NATO.
