Azerbaijan became the main supplier of diesel fuel to Georgia in 2021, Trend reports via the Union of Petroleum Products Importers of Georgia.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports of gasoline and diesel fuel from Azerbaijan in 2021 amounted to 215,872 tons, which is an 18.8-percent share of the total imports, the report said.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranked third among the largest exporters of gasoline and diesel fuel to Georgia in 2021, following after Turkmenistan (244,601 tons), and Russia (221,181 tons).
Georgia’s imports of gasoline and diesel fuel from January through December 2021 amounted to 1.1 million tons, which is an increase of 3.9 percent, or 42,700 tons, compared to 2020.
