President Bashar al-Assad said on Sunday that Syria was facing "a real war" backed by foreign forces and vowed that his government would continue to fight "armed terrorists," dpa reported.
"We are facing a real war," he told parliament in a speech. "We are not facing a political problem. What we are facing is a project of dissension and destruction of the nation," added al-Assad.
