An Italian soldier was killed Monday and two others were injured in an attack in north-western Afghanistan, media reports said.
The attack took place near the village of Bala Murghab the ANSA news agency reported.
The killing brings to 41 the number of Italian soldiers killed in Afghanistan since 2003 when Italy began deploying its troops in the country as part of the NATO mission, dpa reported.
