Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director paid a farewell visit to Turkish chief of general staff on Monday, Turkey's General Staff said, Anadolu Agency reported.

A General Staff statement posted on its web-site said Gen. David Petraeus, who had handed over the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) command, paid a farewell visit to Chief of General Staff Gen. Isik Kosaner in Ankara.

General David H. Petraeus assumed command of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and U.S. Forces in Afghanistan (USFOR-A) on July 4, 2010 after serving for over 20 months as Commander of the United States Central Command.

Petraeus relinquished his post to Marine Gen. John Allen as he headed for his new job as director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
