Leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) Kamal Kilichdaroglu demanded on Wednesday the resignation of Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s cabinet in light of the recent Kurdish militants’ attacks on Turkish militaries.

Leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Kamal Kilichdaroglu demanded on Wednesday the resignation of Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan's cabinet in light of the recent Kurdish militants' attacks on Turkish militaries, Milliyet daily newspaper reported.

Today's attack by the Kurdish terrorists in the Hakkari province bordering Iraq left at least 24 Turkish militaries dead and injured 18.

President Abdulla Gul vowed that the retaliation for killing of Turkish militaries will be severe. Shortly thereafter, Turkey launched military operations in northern Iraq.

Twenty one Kurdish militants were as a result of the counter-terrorism operations which Turkey launched in the Hakkari province Wednesday morning in retaliation for recent killing of Turkish militaries.
