Turkey is set to chair next meetings of Special Working Group (SWG) and Senior Officials Committee (SOC) as part of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in China Today`s Zaman reported
A statement released by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday said the meetings will take place on Dec. 13-15 in Tongxiang, China.
It said delegations will primarily discuss five activities of the organization related to new challenges and threats, economic, environmental and human dimensions of these activities. The statement also added that participants will also discuss the CICA Ministers of Tourism Meeting, the CICA Experts Meeting on Combating Terrorism, the CICA Business Forum and the 2nd CICA Experts Meeting on Combating Desertification in Asia, which are scheduled to be hosted by Turkey in the first half of 2012.
It said representatives from the Foreign Ministry, the Turkish General Staff and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization will take part in the Turkish delegation participating in the meetings.
