Tehran, Iran, November 15

Iran Khodro Diesel is hopeful to find its way back to the Azerbaijani market after it has been set free of cumbersome economic sanctions.
A lot has been done and it is hoped that they bear fruit in the near future, Iran Khodro Diesel Sales Expert Shahram Dehghani told Trend November 15.
“Before the sanctions, we exported some products to Azerbaijan. In 2004 we went there to do some aftermarket research. People were so satisfied with the products,” he said.
“Many factors such as political, geographical, and spiritual proximity make us try to work together.”
Iran Khodro Diesel Company is manufacturer of commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, minibuses and vans) under license in the Iranian market and in the market of several other countries with political agreements in the Middle East, CIS and Africa with half a century experience under license of Daimler Benz (Germany). Iran Khodro Diesel Company has almost 80% of bus and about 70% of the local market share.
“We have been producing under Mercedes license for years. They trust us and know everything about our production lines. We have held some talks. Mercedes opened its office in Iran. And we have heard that some big investment is about to be made,” Dehghani said.
