In order to create an information bank on domestic violence, the Azerbaijani State Committee for Family, Women and Children collects information.
The Interior Ministry has already provided the Committee with information on cases of domestic violence. Work is now ongoing to create an electronic form of these materials, the state committee told Trend on Thursday.
State agencies and centers for victims of domestic violence must also submit to the Committee materials on this matter.
After the entry into force of the law "On the prevention of domestic violence," information on the violence cases, of their victims will be collected in the bank.
Azerbaijani government approved the "Rules for the establishment and maintenance of an information bank concerning domestic violence," according to which the data base is created and maintained by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children.
This bank will collect information on cases of domestic violence, persons who have applied to the state authorities in cases involving domestic violence, domestic violence investigations and their results, the persons held liable in connection with domestic violence cases, the decisions of the court.
It will also collect information on persons deprived of their parental rights, and the persons whose parental rights are limited, and persons with parental rights restored and people from which restrictions of parental rights were lifted, accredited care centers and their activities.
Confidentiality of information is provided by the committee.
