Population’s income growth rate exceeds inflation by 11 percentage points in Azerbaijan

The nominal income per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 2.959.4 manat in January-November 2012, or by 12.2 percent more than in the same period of last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said today.

The nominal income per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 2.959.4 manat in January-November 2012, or by 12.2 percent more than in the same period of last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said today.

The average monthly income per capita amounted to 295.9 manat.

The growth rate of income per capita exceeded the consumer price growth by 10.9 percentage points.

During the reporting period, the population spent 63.4 percent of 27.1 billion manat of personal income to purchase goods and services, 8.4 percent - paying the taxes, deductions for state compulsory social insurance and compulsory contributions, 1.7 percent - paying the loans and 26.5 percent - accumulating the capital.

The population's income hit 24.8 billion manat, or 14 percent more than in January - November 2011.
The official exchange rate is 0,7849 AZN/USD as of Nov. 24.
