BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Opening a branch of BioPharmax on the territory of Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) in Azerbaijan will allow to expand the company's presence in the region, CEO of BioPharmax Israeli company Sarel Chen-Tov said during the signing of an agreement with AFEZ, Trend reports.
According to him, implementation of this project will fully provide the Azerbaijani market with BioPharmax's products.
"The implementation of this project on Azerbaijani market will allow to decrease Azerbaijan's dependence on the import of medications from countries such as Kazakhstan, Belarus, the US and European countries," the CEO said.
"Israel plans to establish a partnership with medical institutions and medical universities of Azerbaijan and create a joint analytical center in the future," Sarel Chen Tov added.
Biopharmax is a design and construction company of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnological and Chemical (API) plants including critical, sterile systems and clean rooms. Biopharmax specializes in execution of projects for the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological industries on a "turnkey" basis.
