BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) carried 31 percent more passengers in October 2023 compared to the previous year as indicated 772,523 people, Trend reports via ADY.
According to the information, Azerbaijan Railways transported 5.6 million people from January through October 2023.
The number of passengers is expected to exceed six million this year for the first time in ADY's history, thanks to improved passenger transit. According to projections, the number of people transported will top seven million next year.
Azerbaijan Railways is currently becoming into a digital railroad. ADY hired an international consulting firm to conduct a diagnosis of IT systems and establish a "digitalization strategy." The approach will be built on new solutions aimed at enhancing the level of service in passenger transportation, in addition to many other advances.
