A delegation of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, on a visit to Azerbaijan, met with members of the Committee on International and Interparliamentary Relations of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

The committee member Asim Mollazade told about the ancient history of the state in Azerbaijan, the establishment of the democratic parliament in Azerbaijan for the first time in the East. He also said that voting rights for women in Azerbaijan were provided much earlier than in most Western countries. He said that the main direction of Azerbaijan's foreign policy after the restoration of independence is the integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.

Another committee member Ganira Pashayeva expressed concern that the Armenian terror is aimed at children.

"Two children have become victims of Armenian terrorism this year," she said. "I think that the world community must not turn a blind eye to it. Everyone must take a firm stand against these actions."
