Despite the best efforts by doctors, an Azerbaijani soldier identified as Anar Garazadeh, who was seriously injured while fighting off the attack by an Armenian reconnaissance and sabotage group on Azerbaijani positions, died on Aug.4, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Aug.4.
Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov issued an order conferring posthumously the medal for "Distinction in Military Service" 3rd degree upon Anar Garazadeh.
