Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 February / Тrend corr. S. Agayeva / The body of the Azerbaijani who died in the blast which occurred in Istanbul will be delivered to Azerbaijan on 2 February, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov said in a telephone conversation from Ankara on 1 February.
On 31 January, an explosion occurred in the stocking factory in Istanbul. As a result, 22 people died and 117 suffered injuries.
"The Azerbaijani citizen Novruz Mammadov, 47, was working in the laundry washer repair workshop near the exploded building. His family live in Istanbul. With the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy, Mammadov will be sent to his native Nakhchivan region on 2 February," the Ambassador said.
According to the Istanbul Governor, the blast was caused by explosives which were illegally produced in the factory.
