Georgia received a "very positive assessment" for the fulfillment of commitments to NATO during the NATO-Georgian commission meeting held in Strasbourg, Georgian Ambassador to NATO Grigol Mgaloblishvili told journalists.

Georgia received a "very positive assessment" for the fulfillment of commitments to NATO during the NATO-Georgia commission meeting held in Strasbourg, Georgian Ambassador to NATO Grigol Mgaloblishvili told journalists.

Georgia participates in NATO summit, which takes place at the level of heads of staffs of the alliance's unified armed forces.

"The Georgian side presented a report on the work done, mostly in the armed forces, and received the approval of NATO member countries," Mgaloblishvili said. According to him, the committee meeting discussed all aspects of cooperation.

NATO is grateful to Georgia for the expansion of participation in operations in Afghanistan, Mgaloblishvili said.
