Third meeting of foreign ministers to be held in Tashkent

The third meeting of foreign ministers will be held in Tashkent August 7 within the dialogue "Central Asia plus Japan", the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Spokesman Askar Abdrakhmanov said at a briefing.

The third meeting of foreign ministers will be held in Tashkent August 7 within the dialogue "Central Asia plus Japan", the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Spokesman Askar Abdrakhmanov said at a briefing.

"The third meeting of foreign ministers will be held in Tashkent August 7 within a dialogue "Central Asia plus Japan". Foreign ministers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Japan will attend the meeting," Abdrakhmanov said.

He said that participants will discuss economic cooperation, improving the welfare of people living in Central Asia, combat extremism and drug trafficking, environmental remediation of the Aral region, cooperation in transport communications, water and energy sectors, joint involvement of the economic potential of the region in the reconstruction process of Afghanistan, as well as cooperation in regional security.
