President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received on 20 December 2005 the Patriarchy of all Georgia ILiya II.
The head of the state voiced satisfaction with the participation of the Georgian Patriarchy in the ceremony of the 25-th anniversary of the Allahshukyur Pashazade’s activities as sheikh-ul-islam, noting that the constant development of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia is observed, Trend reports.
The Patriarchy Iliya II voiced content by his visit to Azerbaijan and conveyed the best wishes from the Georgian President Michail Saakashvili to Ilham Aliyev.
