First Israeli MP of Azeri descent to arrive in Baku in second half of May

Historical first Israeli MP of Azeri descent is arriving in Baku next week, reportedly said Arthur Lenk, Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan, speaking at the meeting with students of Language University.

Israeli Ambassador said Yosef Shagal was elected to Israeli Knesset at parliamentary elections March 28, 2006. Mr Shagal is arriving in Baku with one more Israeli MP to hold meetings with governmental officials and visit Jewish enclaves.

Y.Shagal is a Sefard that moved to Israel in early 1990s. He nominated to the parliament from Israel our home party, earlier worked as a journalist at 9th channel of Israeli television.
