Azerbaijan, Ganja / Тrend corr V. Mammadov / Burd flu monitoring is being caried out along the Kur River in Azerbaijan, the head of Samukh Region Veterinary Department, Murvat Baghirov, reported on 24 September. According to him, a special commission is charged with the monitoring exercises.
Poultry of Samukh villages located nearby the Kur River will be examined. Then the commission will examine poultry habitats.
Disinfection of the places likely to have bird flu virus will be checked. The Monitoring exercises will last by May, Baghirov said. The recent examination was held 3 months ago, he said. The virus was not revealed.
