UNESCO experts have submitted initial recommendations on reforms implemented in the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), ANAS Mahmud Kerimov told Trend today.
"Some works with the UNESCO experts have been done in connection with the reforms implemented in the ANAS. They got familiarized with the situation, prepared the primary recommendations," he said.
According to Kerimov, the recommendations focused on increasing the allocation of public funds to the Academy, attracting young professionals and scientists to ANAS.
Kerimov said the UNESCO experts will make more concrete proposals and recommendations during the visit to Azerbaijan.
ANAS president also added that experts now expect allocating a grant, which will be decided till the autumn.
