An Azerbaijani court made a sentence over individuals accused of killing businessmen in Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Heinous Crimes Court has today sentenced Shohrat Guliyev, Mehman Gahramanov and Anar Hasanov to life imprisonment, Ilham Shabanov - 15-years imprisonment, Sakhavat Khudiyev -13-years and six moths imprisonment and Khazar Kazimov, Maharat Ismayilov and Rabit Abdinov - 2-years imprisonment.

The Court told Trend that due to the fact that Elim Shahmuradov, Bilal Verdiyev, Nuru Atayev and Ilahib Alasgarov have served the imprisonment term, the criminal cases on them were closed.

The gang group is accused of killing Ahmed Ibragimov and Kamal Alekberov in Baku and Ganja in 2003-2004.

The investigation revealed that Shohrat Guliyev together with Mehman Gahramanov created an organized armed group with participation of Anar Hasanov, Sakhavat Khudoyev, Ilham Shabanov, Khazar Kazimov and Elmar Gasimov, providing it with firearms and ammunition in December 2003.

Guliyev instructed members of the group to kill Ahmed Ibrahimov engaged in business in Baku, promising to pay for it 25,000 dollars. One of the members of the criminal group Anar Hasanov found Baku Ibrahimov's address, time and route of his return to home from work.Dec.18, 2003, shooting of Ahmed Ibrahimov with a Makarov-type pistol in front of the building killed him.

Guliyev also ordered the murder of Ganja resident Kamal Alekberov who constantly demanded money from him, promising to pay for the perpetrators of the crime is 25,000 dollars. March 22, 2004, a member of the criminal group Ilham Shabanov killed Kamal Alekberov in front of his house by Makarov type pistol.

As a result of the investigation it was revealed that members of criminal group always assembled in a cafe "Gush sudu" (Bird's Milk) owned by Khazar Kazimov in the city of Ganja, discussed the plan and details of the planned crime, as well as used and sold drugs. In June 2009, as a result of a search in the café, illegally acquired and hidden in the basement of the cafe Kalashnikov rifle, 30 cartridges, as well as narcotic substances, heroin were found and seized.

The accused individuals are charged with Article 120 (deliberate murder), 217 (banditry), 228 (illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition) and other articles of the Criminal Code.
