Unique literature stolen from Tbilisi State University will be delivered to Georgia today.
Ukraine handed over the books to the Georgian authorities yesterday, which were stolen from Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
The book-returning ceremony was held at the Georgian Embassy in Ukraine yesterday.
Some 56 printed books dating back to the 18th-19th centuries were returned. In March 2008, they were detained at the Boryspol border checkpoint.
Under Ukrainian law, the books assumed possession by the Ukrainian National Library. Based on a decision by a special commission, they were returned to Georgia.
Several persons were arrested in connection with the theft.
