Georgian Azerbaijanis polled

Starting July 4, Analytical-Information center of National Assembly of Azerbaijanis of Georgia (NAAG) has been leading a sociological poll among Azerbaijanis residing in Georgia, Trend reports quoting Dashgin Gulmamedov, president of NAAG.

He said the poll is performed among 7 thousand Azerbaijanis residing in enclaves in Marneuli, Dmanis, Zalgan, Tetrichkaro, Telavi, Lagodekhi, Mtskheta, Gori, as well as in Tbilisi and Rustavi.

The polling mainly includes social and political questions. 2,500 people have been interrogated so far. Gulmamedov said the polling has been organized at NAAGs cost. Upon completion of the poll, its results will be submitted to Georgian and Azeri public and mass media.

205 members of NAAG have been involved in polling, and governmental authorities did not interfere their work.

The poll includes questions on opinion about Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, attraction of foreign investments, necessity in social and economic reforms and so on.
