BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. A number of 17 audit companies and six independent auditors were admitted to audit activities in Azerbaijan in 2021, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Vahid Novruzov told Trend.
According to him, at present, there are 126 audit organizations and 57 independent auditors in Azerbaijan.
"Total of 5,956 contracts worth 100 million manat ($58.8 million) were concluded in 2021. The number of contracts concluded in 2021 increased from 5,056 to 5,956 (an increase of 900, or 17.8 percent compared to 2020). In value terms, growth amounted to 29.9 percent, or 23 million manat ($13.5 million) - from 77 million manat ($45.3) to 100 million manat ($58.8 million)," Novruzov said.
The Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan is an independent body of financial control.
