BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. The consumer price index (CPI) in Azerbaijan increased by 12.4 percent from January through April 2022 against the same period in 2021, the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan told Trend.
Food, beverage and tobacco prices went up by 17.4 percent, while non-food products – by 6.4 percent. At the same time, paid services rendered to the population rose by 10.2 percent.
The country’s CPI in April 2022 edged up by one percent compared to March 2022 and by 13 percent compared to April 2021.
