BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. TotalEnergies' hydrocarbon production for liquified natural gas (LNG), excluding Russia's Novatek, over the third quarter of 2023 amounted to 433,000 boe/d, Trend reports.
According to the company, hydrocarbon production for LNG remained consistent from one quarter to the next and showed an 18-percent increase compared to the previous year (368,000 boe/d).
This substantial year-on-year growth was primarily the result of planned maintenance activities that temporarily affected production at the Ichthys field during the third quarter of 2022, TotalEnergies noted.
However, on a quarterly basis, the company's LNG production decreased slightly from 438,000 boe/d.
Meanwhile, over the first nine months of the current year, TotalEnergies's hydrocarbon production for LNG totaled 445,000 boe/d - up by 11 percent, compared to 402,000 boe/d in 9M2022.
During the initial nine months of 2023, TotalEnergies' daily hydrocarbon production averaged 2.49 mboe/d. This represents a decline of 9 percent in comparison to the same period in 2022 when the company's daily hydrocarbon production reached 2.75 mboe/d.
